The sessions are open to all participants, regardless of experience or ability, and are held at the Running Club HQ which is at the Trentham Rugby Club on New Inn Lane. Sessions take place Every Tuesday at 5:00pm and every Thursday at 5:30pm. During the winter months we will be training indoors at a sportshall 1 night a week.
We are always looking to recruit new junior members so if you have young people interested in sports or athletics then bring them along to give it a try.
Participants should be between the ages of 8-15 years old and if they do decide to come back on a weekly basis membership will cost only £20 for the first year and £10 per year after that to join the club. This will enable participants to enter races as Trentham RC competitors if they want to. All outdoor training sessions are FREE!
The sessions will be led by UK Athletics qualified coaches and will involve a number of activities including, jumping, throwing, balance, co-ordination and movement. The focus will be on running but we aim to provide the whole range of skills needed for athletic performance across a range of sports, so the session could be used as a fitness session to complement other sports.
The participants will have the opportunity to, and will be encouraged to represent the club in races regardless of ability but no pressure will be placed on anyone to compete if they do not wish to. We are a very inclusive club and welcome people from all backgrounds and abilities and we will ensure that all athletes will have the same opportunities to perform regardless of their ability.

NEW New running session added to the timetable for 2017!
There will be an additional running session added to the current TRC timetable. It will start on Tuesday 23 May and will coincide with the Juniors session of 5:00-6:30pm. It is primarily aimed at parents who would like to participate in a club run whilst their child trains. Over the first few sessions we’ll establish an approximate distance suitable for the timeframe and the group and will incorporate the muster principle to accommodate different abilities. Just turn up on the day and see Ryan or Kerryann.
