Club

Management

Club President - Dale Colclough

Dale joined the club in 1992 and during the 90's and 00's the club was a massive part of his life.

He previously served as club Chairperson and Men’s Team Manager and subsequently advised and supported club members with their marathon training. He's always held a firm belief that the friendly, social and inclusive aspects to our club are it's strength and it’s great to see that those values have been maintained.

Whilst his running has been on hold for the last eight years he has always kept himself fit by cycling, swimming and waking, and his interests are all outdoor related, and you'll often see him walking and orienteering on high ground.

The day to day management of the Club is deputed to Members and Committee members as shown below:

Club Chairman - Mark Gibson

Mark was appointed as Club Chair following our 2024 AGM. He joined as a complete beginner in August 2018 and has since gone on to run many half marathons, several marathons but also international races including Frankfurt and Paris.

Club Secretary - Debbie Thomas

Debbie joined TRC in 2006 after annoying everyone in the gym by hogging the treadmill, she was told to go and run outside! She prefers middle to long distance races but gives the shorter ones a go now and then to keep sharp. She leads one of the 'fast' groups and was promoted to ladies team captain in 2014. She provides the doughnuts at XC events and enjoys a good chinwag!

Membership Secretary - Walter Mosiuk

Walter is in his second life of running, a stupid whim which saw him and his son Chris entering the Great North Run for their 50th and 21st birthdays on consecutive days led to his comeback, and he hasn't stopped running since.

As well as making sure our members are paid up and properly registered with England Athletics, he also manages the website, the Club Championships and Beginner group admin, and has a reputation for his epic Sunday runs !!

Club Treasurer - Laura Hughes

Laura keeps a check on Club finances and reports back at the committee meetings.

She's a regular runner in our Middle group and can normally be seen chatting with fellow members as the miles pass by.

When she's not running she'll be first in line for a party and is usually pictured on FB with a drink on the table or in her hand !!

Committee Member - Dan Maddock

Dan has been running since 2007 and has been a member of Trentham  since 2011. He started running to keep fit and make friends and enters the occasional race up to Marathon distance and is involved with Club matters and race management

In 2019 Dan embarked on a program of running for his chosen charity Kidney Research which  included a 100km Ultra Marathon over two days.

Juniors Head Coach & Co-ordinater - Ryan Procter

Ryan has been a member since 2006 but doesn't find time to do as much running himself these days. Ryan started the Junior Section in 2010 and is their Head Coach. He is also involved with the Staffordshire Athletics Network and is chair of the Junior Action Group, and serves as a Race Adjudicator for England Athletics.

Ryans best running memory is completing the London Marathon in the morning and watching his beloved Stoke City beat Bolton 5-1 at Wembley that same afternoon.

Events Manager and Committee Member - Kaye Morrisey

Kaye is more of a social member although she has been known to run (for drinks and cake). She has a wealth of knowledge in event management and the ideas person behind our races. She also recruits and liaises with our Suppliers and Sponsors to negotiate deals.

Welfare Officer and Committee Member - Fiona Ratic

Fiona is our "Posh Northern Lass" who joined the club in 2016 and immersed herself into training and running at all distances including some Ultras.

As well as heading up the club communication she is also involved in aspects of the club welfare, and has an ambition to re-introduce Club Marque to Trentham

Mental Health Ambassador - Simone Baggaley

The programme was launched by England Athletics in 2016, in partnership with mental health charity Mind. By establishing a support network of ambassadors in running groups and affiliated clubs, it aims to encourage those experiencing mental health issues to begin, return to or continue running, using running as a positive tool to improve mental wellbeing. Our ambassador will aim to support both new and existing club members. Part of the programme is the #runandtalk campaign. Improving mental wellbeing through running.

Simone is also a Run Leader and heads up our Beginner group sessions.

Regular Committee meetings are held, normally on the 2nd Monday of each month.

If you have any items that you would like to raise, can you please send them in writing to the Club secretary by the preceding Friday.
